Meet the Director
Meet Mezia Hussain, our Centre Director at Kepler Academy Emerald Hills. She earned her Early Childhood Diploma in May 2019. She is trained as an ASQ Evaluator, and is trained in ECERS and ITERS (classroom setup) and the FLIGHT curriculum. She holds her Food Safety for Childcare and her WHIMIS certificate. Mezia is registered in coursework with Athabasca University in Human Resource and Labour Relations, working toward her degree.
Mezia has over 16 years of experience from owning her own programs, and working as a Director for several centres in Regina, Saskatchewan. She moved to Edmonton 5 years ago and continued her journey in childcare, working as the Director of Seeds and Sprouts Childcare Centre. Mezia held the role of Executive Director for St. Albert Daycare Society for 3 years until 2022. Over the last year, she has been consulting, helping childcare centres to thrive, and traveling.
In her spare time, Mezia loves to travel and spend time with her 21-year-old daughter, Sarina, who graduated from NAIT’s Petroleum Engineering Program in 2023.
